Few people know of these Old-Colony Mennonites living in MX. These germans immigrated to Mexico from Canada in the early 1920's. Seeking the liberty to govern their own affairs they agreed to settle and cultivate large tracts of mexican land. Old-Colony Germans can be found in eight different regions of Mexico. Drought has severely limited the ability to plant and harvest in the last 8-10 years, yet these tough, hard working people continue to struggle against the elements.
